Jenny and I decided to take a weekend and go to Chicago for a second honeymoon. Jenny's sister, Alice, was kind enough to come watch our boys while we went. We rented a car on Friday and drove to Chicago, stopping in South Bend on the way to see the college football hall of fame (guess who came up with that idea?) We only took two pictures (we forgot we had the camera), but had a pretty good time. Here's a picture of Jenny as a cheerleader... I think she would have looked very cute in a short skirt...

After the college football hall of fame, we drove up to Chicago, to our first hotel, the Hotel Indigo. We got a good deal on priceline... It lived up to its name, here is a picture of our room. (Our wall of blueberry's went very well with the rest of the blue interior.)

After we checked in to the hotel, we had a couple of hours to spare. We went to an Olive Garden, but the line was too long, so we went to IKEA instead. I had never been, so Jenny showed me around the store. We ate a little snack there, and then checked out the beds... Here's a picture of us on a circular bed that Jenny really liked. Of course, you can't see that the bed is circular, nor that we are in IKEA, but I promise we are... We have photographic proof.

After IKEA, we went to Medieval Times. Here we were served by a wench, ate with our fingers, and watched knights try and kill each other. It was hard to get a good picture in the dark, but we did get a few.

Saturday morning we got up and went to the Chicago temple. It's not a huge temple, but bigger than some of the small temples. It was nice for me to hear some Spanish there. I had forgotten the large Spanish population in Chicago.

After the temple, we went to lunch at the Olive Garden, walked around a mall for a little while, and then checked in to our next hotel. After a short dip in the hot tub (Jenny was too chicken to get in the pool), we got ready to go to the highlight of our trip, the Broadway musical Wicked. We took the elevated train downtown (that's the way to travel in Chicago), and went to the show. It was my first broadway experience, and it was great! Jenny loved the musical, and now wants to get the soundtrack and the sheet music, and the book, and the T-shirt, and some green body paint.... I told her she can't turn me into a scarecrow...

Sunday morning we came back to Ann Arbor to rescue Alice from the boys. She survived surprisingly well, and will probably only need a couple months of therapy. THANKS ALICE!!!!!! We will have pictures of the boys adventures sometime soon.
