Upper Peninsula -- Day 1 continued
Here we are at the Soo Locks -- it is the passage-way between Lake Superior and Lake Huron... It allows ocean traffic to reach as far inland as Chicago. They say these are the busiest locks in the world, surpassing the Suez and Panama canals. Here's a picture of the water level when it is down, waiting for a boat from down river to come in...

Here's a boat
And here's the same boat after the water is raised. (It goes up about 25 feet).
After the locks, we went to our campsite, and took a walk out on the beach. The boys were happy to see the water...
And then they "accidentally" fell in. Maybe Ben was an accident, but not Jeffrey and Jonny.
Isn't that cute?
Here we are at the campsite. The boys love the fire, and wouldn't go to bed for quite a long time... But they eventually did.

Day 2... continued
